LandLearn NSW Speech Spectacular

Do you have students who:

Can talk the leg off a chair?

Want to share their opinions with the world? …..or

Just like the sound of their voice?

They can now 'turn talk into cash' by entering the LandLearn NSW Speech Spectacular.

Debating teams … this one's for you too. In fact the competition is open to all NSW school students in stages 3, 4 and 5.

What's it all about?

The LandLearn NSW Speech Spectacular is a speaking competition run in conjunction with the NSW Beef Spectacular.

Round One

There are two rounds in the competition. Round One calls on students to prepare a two minute response to one of these topics:

1.That locusts do more harm than good.

2.That it is better to plant a potato than a rose.

3.That working in the country is better than working in the city.

Round One entries are due by Friday, 17 December 2010.

The top eight speakers from Round One will have their work published by Industry & Investment NSW (I&I NSW) and will be invited to deliver a 2-3 minute grand final speech about a given topic at the NSW Beef Spectacular on 16 March 2011 at the Dubbo Showground. They will be competing for some great cash prizes.

The grand final topic will be released prior to the event to allow finalists the time to prepare a speech. Grand final winners will be announced on 16 March 2011. The judging panel will consists of representatives from The Land, Industry & Investment NSW and LandLearn NSW.
