The population debate - what do the regions want?

How do you get people to move to regional areas to fill jobs and take the pressure off capital cities?



Population policy is one of the big ticket items this Federal election campaign, with Labor announcing $200 million for regional centres to invest in housing and infrastructure.


The Coalition announced a plan to send more migrants to the regions and free-up 457 visas for the areas which need workers.



There are regional towns right across the nation working to attract more people to grow and fill jobs.
