The inaugural Walk of Wonders is a picturesque 20 kilometre walk beside, above and across the Murrumbidgee River with musical, magical, artistic, amusing, beautiful and bush ‘wonders' scattered along the track to delight and encourage you on your way.
The Walk of Wonders meanders from Gunnong Jugrawah to Jugiong in NSW and is scattered with a harvest of talented local ‘wonders' that promise to amuse, surprise, enchant and spur you on!
Why not make a weekend of it and explore the local area? Regional towns Jugiong, Harden, Boorowa, Cootamundra, Yass and Binalong have interntationally-renowned attractions to visit and accommodation to cater for mini-break weekenders. Entry in the Walk of Wonders is $50 which includes registration, bus transport to the starting point and a sausage sizzle at the finishing line, courtesy of event sponsor, the Long Track Pantry at Jugiong. All proceeds raised will be donated to the Country Education Foundation of Australia - to help it continue its work to assist rural youth in their post-high school transition into further education, training and vocations. All donations/entry fees of $2.00 or more are tax deductible.
