Meet the Ultimate Bush Babe!

Bush Babe describes herself as "Just a mother, wife, photographer, blogger, cattle producer... living in one of the most beautiful corners of the world."   I think she sounds much more than that - check out her beautiful photography and blog and enjoy the ride!

Town or Country
Well, I am country to the core, but lived happily in the Big Smoke for many years.
Can I be ambi-locational?

Music or Books
That's a terrible question! BOTH.
Especially enjoy music while driving, and books while NOT!

Perfect Day
Having my kids, hubby and great girlfriends (and their offspring) with me, sharing my neck of the woods. Riding horses a little, going boating on the river a little and finishing with many chardonnays, soaking in a sunset, and anticipating a great dinner. Actually, that's exactly what I will be doing in a couple of weeks time!

Clooney or Pitt
Hmmmmm... Clooney, as long as he understood that there was no chance of wedding bells! (Also, Angelina scares me a little).

Romantic Hero or Action Hero
Gosh I am such a fence-sitter... I like my hero's with some fire in their bellies and the occasional ability to talk the talk. That said, I was more than happy with Daniel Craig in his non-speaking James Bond scenes. (Apparently I am quite shallow.)

Prince Frederick or Prince William
Aren't they both taken by sexy brunettes already? If I was some kind of old cougar (no cheeky calls from the peanut gallery please) then William might get a wink.
If he was lucky.

Princess Diana or Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge
Adored Diana, but let's face it, she had some issues. If I'd like the BE someone, then it'd have to be Catherine. Being alive is always a decent advantage...

Duke Duchess Cambridge Attend 2011 Epsom Derby England
Heels or favourite winter boots
On other people: Heels.
On me: Comfy boots.
Let others go through the pain, I say. I'll applaud and take photos.

Australian Stockman or Surfer
Well, heck. I married a stockman. He just hadn't really fulfilled that role at the time. (The 'stockman' part. He's well aware that I married him.)

Chocolate or Coffee
Chocolate WITH coffee. Another marriage made in heaven.

Great Shoes or Gorgeous Underwear
I would have to say shoes. Again, appreciating the effort of nice lingerie on Victoria's Secret models. Go Miranda, I say! When it comes to undergarments, as long as it stays where its put, I am happy.

Pedicure, manicure or massage
While I am badly in need of all three, I would go the massage. Of course, if I needed to actually be in public (which is rare) I might go crazy and let some poor beautician loose on my extremities. And I would spend the entire time apologising to them.

Rodeo's or Picnic Races
Races for the socialising, rodeo for the entertainment. And rodeo for the more comfortable outfits.
Rodeo wins 2-1.

Talk it out or keep it to yourself
Depends. I believe if you need to talk it out, be REALLY careful who you choose to lean on. Not all ears are equal.

Karaoke - first to sing, last to sing or absolutely-no-not-ever
What a hilarious question. If you have ever been in a car with me, you will know that I sound like a cat in pain. Not in my own head of course - in my own head I am Carrie Underwood. Outside it however... let's just say it pays to pump up the stereo. And to really answer the question - I don't think I have EVER been that drunk.

One Beauty Product that you would recommend or can't live without
Lip balm. The stuff in the little round jar that makes your lips tingle. I hate lipstick, but that stuff is great. Plus its great against wind and sunburn.  And it fits in the corner of a camera bag. Win-win-win. Win.

One book you would recommend to anyone or that you love and can read over and over again
Oh dear. I am such a Jilly Cooper fan, that it's sad. I would have to say 'Riders', and then dare everyone NOT to read the rest of them! What can I say - the woman takes me away from MY everyday, and she entertains and makes me laugh.

Summer or winter
SUMMER... less washing. More sunshine. More chance of my vege garden surviving.

One life-changing moment
The moment our son was diagnosed with heart problems. My world stopped. And I became as mess, and (eventually) a much better person.

Camping or 5 star
You won't believe this ... 5 star. I can camp any darned time I like. And I VERY rarely like being uncomfortable.

One movie that makes you cry everytime
Love Actually. The bit with the father and son, where you cry and laugh at the same time.

Favourite movie/song
Love Actually.
All that crying and laughing.
It's cleansing.

Who would play you in the movie of your life
Good grief... I'd like to say Sandra Bullock but I am twice her size and the accent would be tough.
So... no.
Got no idea!

Who would play the handsome hero in the movie of your life
Who would play Mr Incredible? I don't think George is tall enough. Probably have to rope Brad Pitt in for that one. (Hey maybe Angelina could wear a fat suit and brown contacts for the previous question?)

How long have you known your oldest friend
Since I was born. She lived next door. I still have lunch with her. And she's still one of my favourite people ever.

School days - happy or sad, good or bad memories
A bit of both. Probably not the highlight of my formative years.

What - or who - always makes you feel better on those more challenging days
Jilly Cooper. (Kidding. My husband or my sister).

Recommend a blog/website
Where do I begin? I started because of my sister
So many amazing bloggers - maybe visit me and check out my 'posse'

Something you are passionate about now
My family, my part of the world and my soapbox is probably bridging that ever-growing city-country gap.  Finding commonalities and cutting through the stereotypes. I have walked miles in both sets of shoes. It's not that hard really.

Happier now than you were at 20 - honestly
So unbelievably TOTALLY. I was clueless and rudderless at twenty. (But my thighs were awesome! How I miss those thighs.)

Describe yourself in one word only
Observer.

Words to live by
'The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands but seeing with new eyes.'
- Marcel Proust

What is the one thing you know for sure
 The glass IS half full.
Actually, from the right angle, it's bloody well about to overflow.
