Q&Art is an online visual arts journal for the Orana and Central West (Young to the Queensland border, Lithgow to Bourke). Our last issue for 2011 will be 6 December & we’ll resume our normal twice-monthly publications in February 2012.
Over summer, while they're not publishing the usual essays, commentaries and interviews, they're wanting to publish some photo essays of regional artists at work and to peek inside some of their studios. They're happy to receive other people’s photos of you at work in your studio – just make sure you let us know who took the photo.
Between now and 15 December, they are taking photo contributions from artists, showcasing not only their work, but their creative places and spaces, be it outdoors, at the kitchen table or in a custom-built studio. By sending them these images, contributors agree to have the works published online.
Contributions can be emailed to: Where is the Art (WITA) at email@example.com
Subject: Q&Art Summer Photo Essay
Photos must be 72 or 96 dpi jpeg files of no larger than 1MB
A maximum of 6 photos per contribution
Please send photos with: all details for your photos, including the name of who took your photos + include a brief (2 sentences) blurb about you and your practice
Deadline: 15 December 2011
