There is no such thing as a free lunch... but there is an opportunity for the RWN to apply for some funding to supplement the cost of running SOFT workshops (but no guarantees we will get it!)
If you are interested in having a SOFT workshop in your area you will have to do a little bit of work at your end to show there is interest.
This is what you need to do:
- Talk to the RWN and set a date. Needs to be 2 consecutive days and having a date is a requirement of the funding.
- Get 14-20 women interested in attending and a commitment to pay a $50 rego fee (there is extra funding for some isolated locations and groups such as Aboriginal women so the cost may be less than $50)
- Make a booking of a venue (RWN can help with what type of space is needed)
- Write a letter stating that you want the SOFT course to be held in your area, a list of who will be attending and why it is needed.
