100 Years Anniversary Ball

The Trundle community will celebrate the 100th Birthday of the Trundle Hotel in style with an Anniversary Ball planned for Saturday 5 May 2012 at the Trundle Memorial Hall.

Construction of the Hotel commenced in 1909 and was completed in March 1912 so to celebrate this milestone, hotel owner, Dannielle Ward saw it fitting to have a celebration event for the community to come together and recognise the historical significance of the Trundle Hotel….

The event will kick off at 6pm and the theme is formal with a touch of 1912. Tickets are available from the Trundle Hotel for $50 per person and will include a light supper, complimentary refreshment, sticker and a stubby holder and entertainment provided by the dynamic Gabe Middleton.

In a fitting tribute to the 100 year celebration, the Lions Club on behalf of the Trundle Hotel, will stage a fundraising auction at the event to raise much needed funds for repairs to the glorious old timber veranda. There will be several items to be auctioned along with selling off the new floorboards that will be laid on the 66 metre long verandah and a plaque to be erected with an honour roll of people who were successful in purchasing floorboards on the night.

Hotelier Dannielle Ward and her family are passionate about the preservation of the Trundle Hotel and have been consistently improving and renovating the Hotel for the past three years.
