Join the National Arts and Health Policy Forum online

On Wednesday, 27June, 2012 a National Arts and Health Policy Forum will be held at Parliament House, Canberra.  Around 60 representatives from across Australia will gather to develop recommendations which will inform a national arts and health policy framework.

The forum will provide an important opportunity to strengthen links between members of the arts and health communities and government agencies responsible for the development of the policy framework.

The Forum is organised jointly by the Arts and Health Foundation, the National Rural Health Alliance and Regional Arts Australia.  It has the support of the Minister for Health, the Hon Tanya Plibersek MP and the Minister for the Arts, the Hon Simon Crean who will attend the forum and deliver the opening speech at 10:30 am AEST.  Other prominent speakers include Robyn Archer AO, Professor Michael Kidd AM, Dr Christine Putland, as well as a panel of 28 sector leaders that will lead the forum discussion.

You can contribute to the forum as it is being streamed live from Parliament House from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on 27 June. The webcast will feature an audio stream http://ps3beta.com/project/8131#!v=webcast, twitter feed #AHPForum and digital showcase of arts and health stories from across the country.

You can also join the Arts and Health Stories Community and the National Arts and Health Policies Project on PlaceStories (http://ps3beta.com/project/8131) to share your stories and be involved.
