Sydney Royal Wine Scholarship

The Sydney Royal Wine Scholarship, in partnership with the RAS Foundation, is pleased to announce applications are now open.

Sydney Royal Wine Scholarship
The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Foundation (RASF) is searching for students who are passionate about forging careers in the Australian wine industry.  The Macquarie Group Sydney Royal Wine Show has partnered with the RASF with the vision to assist growth and development of Australia’s next generation of wine industry leaders, through the provision of education scholarships.
The Graham Thorp Scholarship is the first in a suite of Sydney Royal Wine Scholarships, which aim to reduce some of the financial challenges students often face when it comes to pursuing their education and training goals.  This is a national scholarship for tertiary students (university, TAFE, or VET courses) – there are no age or course limitations, but the applicant will need to demonstrate a strong wine industry career pathway through their course of study. This could include anything from agriculture science, horticulture, viticulture, oenology through to marketing, sommelier, lab technician and journalism.

The successful applicant will be announced at the Sydney Royal Wine Show Awards Dinner on Thursday 14 February 2013.
