Applications are sought for the 2013 Dairy Manufacturing Scholarship Program, offering up to 10 weeks training between February and May 2013.
The scholarship program is designed to attract passionate and new graduates and diploma holders into the dairy industry and train them in relevant aspects of dairy manufacturing.
The Dairy Australia scholarship covers all relevant costs including airfares, accommodation and travel expenses as well as a $500/week living allowance.
People completing their final years of study at university or TAFE in science, hospitality, engineering, food, nutrition or agriculture are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants will be assessed on their qualifications, communication and presentation skills, previous work experience in food or related industries and evidence of their passion for the dairy industry.
Applicants must be permanent Australian residents or citizens and not employed in a dairy company.
A judging panel for applications made up of representatives from Dairy Australia, dairy manufacturing companies and the National Centre for Dairy Education Australia, will assess the written applications. If necessary, an interview will be organised with the judging panel. The successful candidates will be announced during January – February 2013.
